We Keep The World Turning
At the Millwright Regional Council, we provide industry with certainty of execution. Our role is to ensure critical work is performed safely, reliably, and without disruption. Safety is not an initiative for us — it is the operating standard that protects people, assets, and schedules.
We partner with owners and contractors to reduce risk on complex construction and maintenance projects. Through disciplined safety systems, rigorous training, and accountable leadership, UBC Millwrights deliver predictable outcomes that protect equipment, capital investments, and project timelines.
What sets us apart is professional depth and continuity. Our Millwrights are not simply skilled tradespeople — they are cross-trained maintenance and construction professionals capable of solving problems in real time. When conditions change or challenges arise, our teams respond with experience, judgment, and leadership to keep projects moving forward.
We provide a workforce capable of installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing precision machinery across critical industries, including automotive, aerospace, food processing, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, nuclear, power generation, and alternative energy. Our training standards, safety culture, and workforce availability allow owners and contractors to scale confidently without compromising performance.
Much of our work happens behind the scenes, but its impact is critical. By reducing risk, preventing downtime, and delivering consistent performance, UBC Millwrights help owners and contractors protect capital investments and maintain uninterrupted operations — the standard required to keep industry moving.
Safety-Focused, Quality Driven Expertise
The Millwright Regional Council (MRC) is composed of Local Unions of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (UBC) across Canada.
We represent thousands of women and men working as progressive cross-trained construction and maintenance professionals with exceptional skills to install, maintain, diagnose, and repair precision machinery.
UBC millwrights are vital partners in industries as diverse as energy, automotive, aerospace, food processing, pharmaceuticals and more.

“At OPG we are impressed with the professionalism we see in the Millwrights that are deployed for work in our facilities, this is a testament to the time taken to train them to be skilled workers who take pride in their workmanship.”
